Greekly Terms of Use

Effective 7 September 2026. These terms cover Greekly: the iOS app, the Telegram bots @greekly_bot and @greek_a2_bot, and the mini app they open. Using Greekly means accepting them. Greekly is operated by Artem Parasochka, Limassol, Cyprus.

What Greekly is

A tool for practising Modern Greek at roughly A1–A2 level: quizzes, dialogues, writing practice, vocabulary, and sentence building. Most exercises are generated by an AI model. It is a practice tool, not a teacher and not a certification. Generated exercises and explanations can be wrong, and Greekly does not promise that any of it is accurate, complete, or enough to pass an examination. If something looks wrong, the “Report a problem” screen is the fastest way to get it fixed.

Your account

You need an account to use Greekly, and you may hold one per platform. Do not share it. If you sign in with Apple, keep control of that Apple Account — whoever can sign in with it can reach your Greekly account.

Greekly accounts are separate per product. An account created in the iOS app is not the same account as one created in a Telegram bot, and progress and subscriptions do not move between them. This is deliberate: they teach different material and each is bought separately.

Free plan and free trial

Two different things, and they are named differently on purpose.

• The free plan is what you get before you subscribe: a limited number of exercises per day, for a limited number of days. The exact numbers are shown in the app and may change.
• A free trial, where offered, is a free introductory period of the paid subscription itself, provided through the App Store. Its length and what happens when it ends are shown on the subscription screen before you confirm.

Subscriptions

The subscription unlocks unlimited practice. Its price, length and renewal terms are shown before you buy, on the screen where you buy it.

Bought in the iOS app

Payment is taken by Apple and charged to your Apple Account. The subscription renews automatically unless auto-renewal is turned off at least 24 hours before the current period ends; your Apple Account is charged for the renewal within 24 hours of the end of the current period. Manage or cancel it in Settings → your Apple Account → Subscriptions. That is the only place it can be cancelled — deleting the app, or deleting your Greekly account, does not cancel it, and neither can be done on your behalf.

If a free trial is offered and you buy a subscription during it, any unused part of the trial is forfeited, which is Apple's rule for all apps.

Refunds for App Store purchases are handled by Apple, under Apple's policy, at reportaproblem.apple.com. Greekly cannot issue or refuse an App Store refund.

Bought through the Telegram bot

Payment is taken by Stripe and renews automatically until cancelled. Cancel from the subscription screen in the bot, by emailing parasochkaartem@gmail.com, or by messaging @aparasochka.

What you may not do

• Resell, redistribute, or make Greekly's content available as your own.
• Automate access, scrape it, or drive it with a script or a bot.
• Create accounts in bulk, or repeatedly create accounts to get around the free plan's limits.
• Try to extract, reproduce, or reverse-engineer the prompts and the model behind the generated exercises.
• Use it to break the law, or to harass anybody.

An account doing any of these may be suspended or closed. Where the reason is abuse, that can happen without notice.

Content

The exercises, the vocabulary and sentence banks, the app and its design belong to Greekly's operator and are licensed to you for personal, non-commercial learning only. What you write — your profile, your answers, your problem reports — stays yours; Greekly is permitted to store and process it only to run the service, as the Privacy Policy describes.

Availability

Greekly is provided as it is. There is no guarantee that it will be available without interruption or free of defects. It depends on services operated by other people — Apple, Telegram, OpenAI, Google, Stripe, the hosting provider — and an outage in any of them can stop parts of it working. Features may change or be withdrawn.

To the fullest extent the law allows, Greekly's operator is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, and total liability for any claim is limited to what you paid in the twelve months before it arose. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law, and none of it affects the statutory rights of a consumer in the EU.

Ending it

You can stop at any time: delete your account in the app, or stop using the bot. Deleting the account erases your data as described in the Privacy Policy, and, again, does not cancel an App Store subscription.

Law

These terms are governed by the law of the Republic of Cyprus. If you are a consumer in the EU you keep the protection of the mandatory rules of the country you live in, and may bring proceedings there.

Changes

If these terms change materially, the date at the top changes and the new version is published here. Continuing to use Greekly after that means the new version applies.
